Launch-week patches you should know about
vR107 / vR107s (Sep 30–Oct 1) — official Steam Balance Patch. Difficulty multiplies damage your units take: Recruit 1.0, Regular 1.2, Hardened 1.8, Veteran 2.2. Regular now hits like old Veteran; Hardened and Veteran are a different game. Enemy guns are used more, warriors shoot more, genin shoot less but a little faster, and temple/monastery support was buffed. Bomb usage went up, then vR107s rolled it back. Ogura and Iwaya clan army strengths were un-flipped. The gokenin helmet crest may need a re-equip on old saves. vR107s also added a stop-tutorial button on the progress tab. vR106 (Sep 16) — a performance and balance pass: tree physics was rebuilt (up to 2x FPS in some scenes and much shorter load times), the starter army was nerfed, enemy army difficulty now scales per region to roughly match your army's size and composition, and surrendered or wounded enemies are no longer accidentally killed by your own troops — post-battle options are now meaningful choices. vR105 (Sep 13) — fixed ghost armies, fixed settlements that could not be conquered, fixed a projectile error and the looping fire-arrow sound, and progression changes now apply without starting a new save. Sep 12 — trading with monk factions was made discoverable; many players had never found it because the only way in was hovering a temple marker on the map. vR101 (Sep 10) — tutorial homestead distance and starting resources were retuned so the opening no longer soft-locks. On the live build, check whether a fix needs a fresh save before assuming it did nothing.
